SCHOLARSHIPS
SCHOLARSHIPS.
One of the Goals of the PFC is to promote academic achievements and success via the annual scholarship program whereby we offer scholarships to Youth who are of Arcadian descent.
The PFC believes in supporting their academic pursuits and
takes pride in this program. We encourage all youth of
Arcadian descent to attempt to achieve scholastic success,
and the scholarship program is intended to show our encouragement and support.
Scholarship Award Qualifications
The applicant shall SEND VIA POSTAL MAIL to
450 Danforth Ave,
Toronto ON M4K 1P4
The following:
• A completed application form endorsed by the President of his /her affiliated Association
• An original copy of his/her transcript (minimum GPA 3.2 or 80%), (in a sealed envelope)
• A letter of recommendation from the principal or guidance counsellor of the high school from which he/she graduated, except where the applicant is already a student at a post secondary institution, as defined above, in which case a professor’s letter is recommended.
• In the case of Article 3. ii. Above, proof of acceptance is required and in the case of Article 3. iii. above; proof of application for admission is required.
• An essay typewritten or printed (one page only) about How your Arcadian descent influenced your life and assisted you in overcoming adversity.
The applicant must be:
• A student of a government accredited post secondary educational institution, a university, a community college or CEGEP (Quebec), or
• A student who has been accepted by such institution, provided that proof of acceptance is also submitted, or
• A student who is in the process of completing CEGEP (Quebec) and has applied for admission to a government accredited post secondary educational institution, provided that proof of application is also submitted.
